Our process-driven approach to metal finishing eliminates the guesswork that often comes with coating work. We review each part’s characteristics during estimating and engineering, optimize time loading, and control part-to-part variability before a single piece hits a line. The result is consistent finishing across a wide variety of materials with minimal in-process adjustments and little or no setup time.
Automation is core to how we run. Every finishing line at CMC is fully automated, and the chemical feed systems on most process tanks are too. That removes a layer of human variation from the work and gives our customers the consistency and turnaround they expect.
In order to deliver consistently high product quality and the quick turnaround our customers need, we treat identifying and eliminating sources of variation as the core job. Our process-driven approach is how we get there.
Testing Capabilities
Coatings Management Corporation has a full time lab staff to satisfy the requirements of our customers and believe that if it is done in house it is done right. We have capability of processing and testing to major OEM and Industry Standards like ASTM and many others. Our testing meets the methods and standards of “National Institute of Standard & Technology, ASTM-B117, and any customer-specific requirements.

ASTM B117
Salt Spray Testing
A controlled, continuous salt-water mist that accelerates corrosion on plated samples. We use it to confirm a plating system will meet customer corrosion-life specifications, measured in hours to first white corrosion or first red rust.
Bath Chemistry Control
Atomic Absorption
Measures the precise concentration of metals in our plating baths. Bath chemistry drifts as a line runs; AA spectroscopy gives us a quantitative readout we can use to keep every bath within its specified operating window.
Non-Destructive
X-Ray Fluorescence
Measures plating thickness non-destructively in seconds. We verify coating thickness against specification on every job before parts leave the floor, so what ships matches what was promised.
